Old Time Vendor Cart Plans & Hardware
Now you can build this replica old-time vendor cart using our plans and metal wheel kit.
Vendor carts were widely used at the turn of the century by street vendors to peddle their wares and produce.
Carts could be loaded and rolled down the sidewalk to their best locations and then easily moved to another location if the foot traffic became slow.
Vendor carts have become collectible items being used in all types of store displays to landscape art. They are as perfect as they were back then to display flowers and produce.
You select the wood locally and we supply the plans, two 24″ metal wheels and two metal axle stubs that bolt to the bottom. Eight spoke wheels are standard you may upgrade to sixteen spoke wheels for that fancy close up photo location. (Kit also does not include the nuts, bolts, or screws)
Our customers have used premium hardwoods to build fancy indoor displays to using reclaimed lumber or even treated lumber for outdoor landscape focal points.
The plans are designed to build a cart 50” L X 25-1/2” W X 34-1/2” H. Universal stub axles included allow you to modify the width of the cart without worrying about the axle length.
These stunning carts add to both indoor and outdoor decor and make perfect flower carts, store displays, brochure stands, produce carts, mall kiosks, and food /beverage stands.
The possibilities are endless; make a metal liner with drain for beverages or wet plants. Make vertical racks for hanging display items; add a canopy for shade or extra design impact.
We do carry an Amish made wooden spoke wheel peddler cart on our main site that can be ordered unfinished, finished and upgraded with rubber tires. It can be seen on a long-running soap opera show. Cottage Craft Works .com
